It’s been a bit slower going than expected for phase two of our publishing journey. I thought I’d fly through the edits and move quickly into phase three, but the Universe has had other plans.
Instead of being whisked into a linear frenzy, I’m drawn to all directions around the project. Cleaning up homepages elsewhere, creating new appointments on Acuity Scheduling, designing icons and logos and other branding elements, confirming business names and programs and back-end services that make things run behind the scenes.
That’s what’s been taking up all my time of late. That and being with the cats, cleaning up the house, and working on my health, of course.

At first, I put all the project information at the end of the book and listed numerous websites where people can find me. That is, until I talked to my husband, who wisely suggested I simply give out one URL and put up whatever info I was ready to deal with. And right now I’m not ready to deal with much at all.
Louise, on the other hand, is probably raring to go so this site gives her somewhere to link her book sales to, and give people more info without having to create any more web pages on her site. That’s the main reason I created it – to make it easier for her.
Here’s the progression so far:
PHASE ONE
- Book Details Submission 7 May, 2025
- KickStart Call 22 May, 2025
- Briefing Session with Book Designer 28 May, 2025
- Book Concept delivered 10 June, 2025
- Manuscript Submission Guide and Upload 11 June, 2025
- Marketing Strategy (not yet completed)
PHASE TWO
- Final Cover delivered 18 June, 2025
- Final Cover Update delivered 25 June, 2025
- Sample Typesetting delivered 25 August, 2025
- Typesetting (awaiting)
- Author Proofread (ensues)
As you can see, there was a substantial gap between the end of June and the end of August while I was performing my own edits to the manuscript. During this time I had a Structural Edit professionally done, which took approximately eight days. After it was returned, the Universe took me on a sidebend into other-spaces.
Not all of it was about the book or the business. A lot of what was going on took me into unknown territory where I just follow along and see what is. I live most of my life this way so it wasn’t a big deal but it felt significantly attached or associated with becoming an author and putting my (channelled?) ideas out into the world. Which is probably why How To Be Medicine came up a lot.
The ideas in that book (which is also my business name) are all tied up with being a representative of a narrative that’s yet to be… printed, voiced, formally made public knowledge. And I’m feeling the pull to move into that world next; as well into being a Deva Avatar.
Plus my pop died.
He was 91.

There have also been some other intangible things afoot that I’m dealing with. So life is, as usual, a big pile of not knowing.
I eventually got the Amended and Accepted version of my manuscript back to the publishers on 14 August, 2025 and have been finding images, photos etc for the book since then, as well as working on this site, the Spiritual Un.Learning site, my business website, my Kajabi site and my blogsite. Plus updates to my appointments and a heap of other paraphernalia that would make your head spin if I had to list it all here or anywhere for that matter.
Suffice to say, I have been a busy bee. Speaking of which, it’s almost Spring and the garden is happy with bees and flowers and the biggest zucchinis we’ve ever seen!
